Being a percussionist pretty much requires you to be a hands-on person. Ever since I was a young percussion student, I have been constantly tinkering with instruments and mallets, trying to learn how they were made, what made them different, and how to take care of them as best I could. As I progressed through various levels of music school, instrument maintenance and building became part of who I was as a percussionist.
I take pride in working on any instrument whether it is my own, belongs to a school where I teach, or belongs to a school that has hired my services. I’ll treat your instruments as I would my own. I believe that all students, regardless of age and ability level, should have access to the best sounding instruments possible. Let me help you provide that for you, your program, or organization.
